Sermon Recap
This week, we began Part 2 of Kingdom Culture by focusing on the nature of the King Himself — and Pastor Rob reminded us that Jesus is not just compassionate or powerful — He is holy. Holy means pure, undefiled, completely set apart — unlike any earthly king or system. His holiness is not distant or condemning — it’s powerfully inviting.
We were born into sin, separated from the holiness of God — but Jesus, our Holy King and Great High Priest, made a way for us to draw near, not hide (Hebrews 4:15-16). Through His blood, we don’t stand far off — we can enter boldly. His holiness doesn’t push us away — it transforms us when we come close. The message was clear: we don’t just admire a holy King — we are invited to live from His holiness.

Discussion Questions
When you hear the word “holy” — do you picture distance (unapproachable) or invitation (drawing you closer)? Why?
Pastor Rob said the kingdom is not a place we go when we die — it’s a King who lives in us now. How does that change the way you see your normal life?
Hebrews says we can “draw near with confidence” instead of hiding like Adam & Eve. What keeps people — even Christians — from drawing near to a holy God?
Jesus’ holiness is not just moral perfection — it’s transformational power. What “exchange” might Jesus be inviting you to make with Him right now? (fear, sin, anxiety, shame, control, etc.)
If holiness is not about rules, but about radiating the nature of Jesus — what would it look like for you to carry holiness into your workplace, your family, or your regular spaces this week?
Prayer
Holy King Jesus — thank You that Your holiness does not push us away, but invites us near. Thank You for Your blood that gives us access to Your presence. Burn away anything in us that is unlike You — and fill us with Your holiness, not just for ourselves, but so we reflect You everywhere we go. We want to live set apart, not distant — but fully alive in Your presence. Amen.
Life Application
Don’t hide — draw near to the King this week.
Make the exchange — give Him what you were never meant to carry.
Live from kingdom reality, not earthly reaction.
Let holiness shape your responses — not culture.
Holiness is not behavior correction — it’s presence transformation.
