Sermon Recap
As we get close to the end of our Narrow Way journey, we’re reminded that life only offers two roads, just like Jesus said in Matthew 7:13–14. Most people land on the wide road — the road of self-interest, chasing pleasure, and living by “your truth” instead of God’s truth. But Jesus shows us there’s another road: the Narrow Way. Choosing the Narrow Way means surrendering all authority over our lives to Jesus. It means being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did. Life on the Narrow Way isn’t easy because it pushes back against the lies of our culture, but it’s where we find true, abundant life. It’s where our lives become a reflection of Jesus in everything — our attitudes, our behavior, and the way we live every day.
We were designed to be shepherded, to follow a voice. But sin brought all kinds of false voices into the world, and today, too many people are being led by TikTok, YouTube, Fox News, CNN, and a hundred other noise-makers. These voices don’t have a vested interest in us — they’re hired hands who don’t really care about the sheep. But Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He sacrificed His life for us. As His apprentices, we’re called to listen to His voice most and first, and then echo His voice to others. Shepherding isn’t just the job of pastors; it’s the calling of every believer. We are all called to guide and lead the people God has placed in our lives — our families, our friends, our coworkers — straight to the heart of Jesus.
The truth is, we have an enemy who wants to steal, kill, and destroy. He works through distraction, isolation, and lies. That’s why shepherding matters so much. We protect and sacrifice for others by staying close to the Good Shepherd and helping others do the same. We’re not just guests in God’s Kingdom — we’re citizens, co-heirs with Christ. That means we lay down our comfort, our preferences, and our opinions for the sake of the Kingdom. Every day, the voices we listen to shape the voice we echo. If we are listening to the world, we’ll lead people down the wide road. But if we are listening to Jesus, we’ll guide people toward life. Shepherding others simply means following Jesus so closely that our lives naturally lead others to Him.

Discussion Questions
Discuss together, pushing yourself toward transparency. The more we are authentic and humble with one another, the more we can grow in Christ.
Jesus said there are only two roads in life — the wide road and the Narrow Way. What are some signs that show which road we are really walking on? How can we tell when we’ve drifted toward the wide road?
The sermon talked about how we are all designed to be shepherded by someone. Right now, whose voice do you find yourself listening to the most — and how is that shaping your thoughts, actions, and faith?
What are some practical ways you can “shepherd” the people God has placed in your life — like your family, friends, coworkers, or classmates — toward Jesus this week?
The message said we are not guests in God’s Kingdom, but citizens. What’s the difference between living like a guest and living like a citizen when it comes to your faith, your church, and your influence?
Prayer
Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd, and I thank You for leading me with love, grace, and truth. Help me to hear Your voice above all the noise of this world. Teach me to walk the Narrow Way every day — to be with You, become like You, and do what You did. Fill me with Your Spirit so that my life reflects You to the people around me. Show me how to guide, care for, and protect those You have placed in my life. Let my voice and actions always point others back to You. I love You, Lord, and I want my life to echo Your heart. In Your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Life Application
1. Start each day by asking God to help you hear His voice first and most.
Before you reach for your phone, turn on the news, or scroll social media, spend a few minutes in prayer or reading Scripture. Tune your heart to the Good Shepherd’s voice before any other.
2. Be intentional with one person this week that God has placed in your life.
Choose someone you have influence with — a family member, friend, coworker, or classmate — and find a simple way to guide or encourage them toward Jesus through your words, your kindness, or simply your example.
