Kitchen Event Team
If you enjoy serving behind the scenes and helping create memorable experiences, the Kitchen Event Team is a great place to get involved. Whether you're using your skills in the kitchen, assisting with meal preparation, helping with setup and cleanup, or serving at special events, this team enjoys working together while supporting the church community.
The Kitchen Event Team serves alongside Renee to prepare and serve food for showers, weddings, funerals, conferences, banquets, barbecues, classes, and other special events throughout the year. It's a wonderful opportunity to use your gifts, build relationships, and make a meaningful impact through hospitality.
Higher Grounds Cafe Team
The Higher Grounds Cafe Team helps create a warm and welcoming space where people can connect, build relationships, and feel at home. Whether you're serving coffee, preparing food, or helping guests enjoy their morning, your role plays an important part in creating meaningful moments of community each Sunday.
Positions:
Coffee Station – Brew coffee and keep the coffee stations stocked and refreshed throughout the morning so guests can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while connecting in the foyer.
Cafe – Operate the cash register, prepare coffee and specialty drinks, and serve guests with a friendly smile and a welcoming spirit.
NEW! Kitchen – Assist with preparing and serving food items available for purchase in the cafe.
No experience is required—just a willing heart, a friendly attitude, and a desire to serve others. We'd love to have you join the team!
First Impressions
At The Woods Church our goal is to make sure that no one gets lost in the crowd. Our team has been designed to help both the regular attender and first time guests connect to the life of The Woods Church. Whether at Sunday service or a special event, our greeters, ushers, and connection hosts ensure everyone has a great experience.
Prayer / Intercessors
Our Prayer Team members have a heart for prayer, our church, and seeing God move. Prayer isn't rocket science, it should be simple, but it has the power to move the kingdom of heaven. These team members pray over each Sunday service, as well as be available after services to intercede for those people who desire one-on-one prayer.
Worship Team
As a part of the Worship & Creative Ministry, this team exists to lead our church into the presence of God through musical worship. Made up of band members, vocalists, and worship leaders, we are passionate about creating environments where people can encounter Jesus and engage in authentic worship. We invite those with musical gifting and a heart for worship to be a part of the team.
Production
As a division of Worship & Creative Ministry, this team exists to help extend the Gospel to those watching online as well as providing a notch in-room experience. We train from the ground up and would love to add you to the ranks.

Communion Team
Remembering Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross through the act of communion is an important part of services. On a monthly basis this team helps to prepare and distribute the elements during our time of communion.
Discipleship Team
Members of the Discipleship Team have a strong desire to see people take next steps in their relationship with Jesus—whether that begins through connection, grows through community, or deepens through intentional discipleship. They are passionate about helping individuals move from where they are to who God is calling them to be.
They believe life change happens best in community, and they play a key role in helping people connect, belong, and ultimately grow in their walk with Christ..
Facilities Team
Our facilities team is tasked with maintaining our building. This includes cleaning and preparing for our services and events, ensuring a great impression for all guests.
Funeral Team
Our Funeral Team is looking for members who possess the spiritual gifts of mercy, hospitality or discernment so that they can help greet and direct those attending a funeral service here at The Woods Church. We want all who enter to feel welcomed and comforted during such a difficult time.
Kids Ministry
There are many ways to get involved in our Kids Ministry- from caring for the babies in the nursery to being a small group leader for our elementary students. We have opportunities to help in tech during our large group lessons as well as helping with greeting in our Kids Check-in area. Volunteers will be background checked and trained by our staff. No experience necessary.
Preteen Ministry
Our Preteen Ministry Team exists to help 5th and 6th grade students grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover what it means to follow Jesus. Through leading small groups, creating engaging environments, and showing up consistently, our team plays a vital role in this important season of transition. Preteen Ministry is a weekly commitment to serve one service and attend another, allowing leaders to both invest in students and stay spiritually filled. We would love for you to be a part of the team.
Student Ministry
Our Student Ministry Team exists to help Junior High and High School students encounter and engage God in a meaningful way. Whether serving as a Small Group Co-Leader or supporting weekly services through Events & Support, our team is passionate about investing in the next generation and pointing students to Jesus. Because relationships are built through consistency, Youth Ministry is a weekly commitment from the fall through the end of the school year. We would love for you to be a part of the team.
Parking Lot Team (Special Events)
The Parking Lot Team helps keep things moving during our busiest moments. They guide the flow of traffic, welcome guests as they arrive, and make sure everyone finds their way safely and efficiently during special events. It’s a practical, friendly way to serve and help create a great first impression for every guest.
