To say “amen” is to step into agreement, it’s a response to prayer and praise - its very utterance communicating truth into the common. Scripture promises that God will draw near after an invitation to abide: stay, remain, live within Him. It’s in the abiding that believers experience communion with the Father and there receive His instruction. But, how often is that instruction met with an “amen,“ especially when what He asks of His followers is hard or unique? What happens when abiding has become more of a common routine than a sacred practice?
